intelliScore Ensemble MP3 to MIDI Converter transforms live and prerecorded music – in a WAV, AIFF, WMA, or MP3 file – into high-quality MIDI renditions. It will detect the various instruments and drums played in an audio recording and will create a multi-track MIDI file with the notes and the drums played in it. You can also record your own music, save it as a MIDI master file (up to 16 tracks) and print your own score with the help of Anvil Studio or another high-quality notation software tool.
The program comes with a very useful and convenient project creation wizard, which will guide you through various easy steps required to perform an MP3 to MIDI conversion, or to create your own musical composition (complete with notation and a printed score) on the fly. Though professional musicians and composers know that no audio-to-MIDI conversion program will ever be able to give a 100% accuracy level, intelliScore Ensemble gets pretty close to that mark, especially when dealing with monophonic recordings. Things get more complicated when you are trying to identify and isolate more than one instrument, but even so the program will use your indications about the music contained in the audio file and will give you fairly accurate indications about the tempo, the chords, and, of course, the notes and their duration and dynamics. The simpler the recording and the lower the number of instruments is present in a mix, the more accurate information you get. more
